About the Product

Product Description

Phosforico is a liquid plant nutrition (fertilizer) product containing phosphorus and potassium in the form of phosphite (phosphonate), which can be applied foliarly and to the soil via irrigation water. It has been developed to help meet the plant's phosphorus and potassium requirements.

Phosphorus (P₂O₅) is an essential nutrient element for root development, flowering, fertilization and energy transfer processes in the plant; it supports the formation of a healthy root system and generative development. Potassium (K₂O), on the other hand, plays an important role in fruit size and quality, the regulation of the plant's water balance and overall resilience; it contributes to supporting the nutritional value and quality of the produce. Phosphorus in the phosphite form is in a plant-available form and supports nutrient uptake.

It is used particularly in crops such as Greenhouse/Open Field Vegetables (Tomato, Pepper, Cucumber, Eggplant, Bean, Strawberry), Leafy Winter Vegetables (Curly Lettuce, Lettuce, Cabbage, Spinach, etc.), Tuber Plants (Sugar Beet, Potato, Onion, Garlic), Melon, Watermelon, Squash, All Fruit Trees (Peach, Apricot, Cherry, Plum, Apple, Pear, Quince, Citrus, Olive, Vine, Hazelnut, etc.), Avocado, Banana, Industrial Crops (Cotton, Sunflower, etc.), All Legumes (Chickpea, Bean, Lentil, Soybean, etc.) and Cereals (Corn, Wheat, Barley, Rice, etc.). Applications are generally planned as 2-4 applications, beginning about one week after seedlings are transplanted and continuing until the fruit ripens, throughout the vegetation period and during developmental stages such as shoot emergence and fruit set.

In the case of phosphorus deficiency, general symptoms such as weak root development, stunted growth and dark green-purple discoloration on older leaves may be observed in plants; in the case of potassium deficiency, symptoms such as yellowing and drying at the edges of older leaves may appear.

Guaranteed Content (w/w):

  • Water-Soluble Phosphorus Pentoxide (P2O5): 9%
  • Water-Soluble Potassium Oxide (K2O): 11%
