About the Product

Product Description

AgroTroia Efecto Calcio is a foliar-applied liquid plant nutrition product containing calcium (CaO) and nitrogen (N), with uptake facilitated by propionate. It is used to help meet the calcium and nitrogen requirements of plants throughout their growth stages.

The calcium (CaO) it contains is an essential nutrient involved in the formation of the cell wall structure in plants; it contributes to supporting firmness in fruits, peel quality, and tissue resilience. Nitrogen (N), on the other hand, is a primary nutrient that plays a role in the vegetative growth of plants, leaf formation, and protein synthesis; the nitrate nitrogen (N) form in the product is a nitrogen source that can be taken up directly by the plant.

It is used in cultures such as Greenhouse/Open Field Vegetables (Tomato, Pepper, Cucumber, Eggplant, Bean, Strawberry), Leafy Winter Vegetables (Curly Lettuce, Lettuce, Cabbage, Spinach, etc.), Tuber Plants (Sugar Beet, Potato, Onion, Garlic), Melon, Watermelon, Squash, All Fruit Trees (Peach, Apricot, Cherry, Plum, Apple, Pear, Quince, Citrus, Olive, Grapevine, Hazelnut, etc.), Nuts (Walnut, Chestnut, Pistachio, Almond, Hazelnut), Avocado, Banana, Industrial Crops (Cotton, Sunflower, etc.), All Legumes (Chickpea, Bean, Lentil, Soybean, etc.), and Cereals (Corn, Wheat, Barley, Rice, etc.). Applications are generally planned starting after the seedlings have been transplanted and continuing until the fruit ripens, during the flowering and fruit set periods, and throughout the vegetation period.

In plants showing calcium deficiency, symptoms generally appear first on young leaves and growing tips; tissue disorders similar to blossom-end rot in fruits and a decline in peel quality may be observed. Balanced calcium nutrition helps reduce such adverse effects.

Guaranteed Content (w/w):

  • Total Nitrogen (N): 8%
  • Nitrate Nitrogen (N): 8%
  • Water-Soluble Calcium Oxide (CaO): 14%
